Standard Features Included with S Series

Allen \ Bradley CompactLogix PLC is State of the Art motion control for machine operation. Includes Sercos fiber optic communication between the servo drives and controller for noise / interference elimination, comes with 16 spare inputs and 6 spare outputs standard.

Ethernet module to communicate with other equipment such as feeders and Compact Flash Card are available.

Color Touch Screen on Swivel includes Operator interface, Machine set-up instructions Diagnostics and on screen instructions. Has product recipe storage for 100 set ups. Automatically sets up bag lengths and product operating parameters.

Step By Step Programming – The operator inputs product dimensions. All the electronic functions are automatically set for that product. The Touch Screen provides step by step instruction to assist novice and expert operators on new product set up.

TEACH Programming provides automatic set-up mode for package length changes.

Dual Servo-Axis Cross seal horizontal & vertical motion via Allen / Bradley Kinetix Drives and Servo Motors share a buss bar for lower power consumption and tunable product sealing.

(3) 1 HP AC Vector Drives for product carrying belts and infeed conveyors provide lower maintenance, smooth, quiet, reliable operation throughout speed range. These drives can be replaced with optional servo drives.

Vector Drive Side Seal and Cross Seal Belts provides independent electronic control of belt speeds to relieve film tension between products for stronger seals. Easily adjusted and stored via the Color Touch Screen.

Vector Drive Infeed provides electronic adjustment for infeed speeds.

Direct Drive traveling belt, side seal belt, film unwind and selvage winder. This eliminates chains, sprockets, tensioning devices or need for lubrication at these points, providing the user with a lower maintenance machine.

Programmable Orbit permits optimum cross seal motion for a variety of package heights and production speeds. Adjustable Dwell up to 35% of cycle provides strong seals at high speeds.

All Extreme Infeeds plug directly to the PLC for quick interchangeability from flighted to belted conveyors.

Smooth Continuous Motion Cross Seal System moves with the product during the sealing process. This provides for longer dwell times that result in stronger seals and fewer rejects. The continuous motion process also puts less stress on machinery components than the stopping and starting of intermittent motion system.

Seal bars have Multi-zone heater design providing uniform temperature across the entire seal bar. The system requires lower temperatures and less dwell time. The results are higher machine speeds, cleaner seals and better looking finished products. Will run polyolefin, polyethylene and PVC films.

EXTREME Self Cleaning Side Seal Element is manufactured from high quality stainless steel which is machined and polished to a mirror finish. The element only touches the film, it does not require any backing wheels or separate cutters that wear out.

Efficient film usage is due to the direct film delivery path and side seal design. The film path goes directly to inverter blades and does not pass under the infeed conveyor belt frame as found on many wrappers. Typical savings is 2-4” of film width times the length of the package. Side seal will run polyolefin, polyethylene and PVC films.

Powered pinwheel perforator Both pinwheel and back-up brush are driven at film speed to provide positive perforating without tearing

Adjustable film inverter has location scales for quick package height and width changes without tools.

Dancer Bar Controlled Selvage Winder automatically winds and controls film trim tension so that minimal waste is produced. Includes trim break sensor with machine stop.

Infeed Product Detect Sensor controls product phasing and stop/function of wrapper to avoid running empty bags

Product carrying belts are spliced for easy removal and replacement.

Cross Seal rides on (4) 1" diameter linear bearing shafts for extra stability and longevity at high speeds.

Heavy Duty Welded Frame Construction for the well built rigid platform required for high speed, continuous use and the harshest environments.

Stainless steel hardware is used in all assemblies
