System Overview
Extreme Packaging Machinery builds high quality shrink wrap equipment, infeed systems and shrink tunnels. The integration of the proper wrapper infeed is what allows the system to achieve maximum performance and efficiency. Be it a simple hand fed infeed or a totally automated system that communicates with the customers manufacturing process, monitors incoming product flow, controls accumulation and throughput rate based on real time demand.
Extreme Packaging Machinery can custom tailor infeeds to your specific needs. Our skilled engineering team has tackled challenging applications and developed innovative wrapper infeed solutions.

Speed Modulation Programming
Provides means for automated lines to operate more efficiently by matching machine speed to fluctuations in production speeds.
No Touch Floating Nose Belt Accumulation Conveyor (Stainless Steel Construction)
This wrapper infeed is equipped with three servo drives and works with the speed modulation programming. It monitors and receives incoming products from the customer’s product carrying conveyor; products which are received randomly accumulate without contacting adjacent products. Products advance to the indexing servo belt which accurately releases them onto the flighted infeed of the wrapper. The Servo Controlled flights follow the cross seal movement to properly place the product into the film web in time with the moving cross seal.

Integrated Slip-Torque Accumulators
Extreme purchases the base conveyor unit from Shuttleworth and modifies the system to
meet the application specification. We add the drive package and integrate it to the
wrapper PLC. All controls are available through the wrapper touch screen. Functions
such as stop/start, speed ramping, E-Stop, etc. all function seamlessly as one unit.
Accumulating Servo Belt with 2 Meter Slip Torque
Stainless Steel- Washdown with NEMA 4X Electrical
This system monitors and receives incoming products from the customer’s conveyor; products can be received randomly. Products accumulate back to back on the low back pressure slip torque conveyor and advanced to the accumulating servo belt. Products advance to the indexing servo belt which accurately releases products onto the flighted infeed of the wrapper. Includes drip pan and scraper
Escapement Gate / Lane Control for Tape Rolls
This shrink wrapper infeed controls back pressure. In two lane tape lines this system will meter the incoming tape rolls to deliver product from one lane at a time to form a single lane down stream. The metered product is controlled through the PLC of the wrapper which allows a predetermined amount of product to advance per lane.

Squaring Gate for Round Multi-packs
This mechanism Squares the incoming rolls prior to the compression belt indexer, once per cycle.

9’ Flight Bar Infeed
This infeed is Ideal for multipacks and, provides ample space for product loading. The wide pushers are designed to handle a wide range of products and configurations. 18’ long infeeds are also available for more loading and work space.
Slip-Torque to Belt to Belt
Product will arrive to the slip-torque conveyor from the customer's conveyor. The
product advances and gently accumulates up to the Belt-to-Belt indexing conveyor. The
indexing conveyor advances the product and creates the proper gap prior to entering into
the film web. Once in the film web the product travels through the cross seal where the
bag is formed continuing through the shrink tunnel where the tightly wrapped products
exit.
Slip-Torque to Compression Belt to Flight Infeed
Product will arrive to the slip-torque conveyor from the customer's conveyor. The product advances and gently accumulates up to the Compression Belt indexing conveyor. The compression belt controls back pressure and releases product in phase with the flights, the flight advance the product into the film web with proper spacing. Once in the film web the product travels through the cross seal where the bag is formed and continues through to the shrink tunnel where the tightly wrapped products exit.
Slip-Torque to Servo Belt to Flight Infeed
Product will arrive to the slip-torque conveyor from the customer's conveyor. The product advances and gently accumulates up to the Servo Belt indexing conveyor. The servo belt controls moderate back pressure and releases product in phase with the flights, the flights advance the products into the film web with proper spacing. Once in the film web the product travels through the cross seal where the bag is formed and continues through to the shrink tunnel where the tightly wrapped products exit.
This on demand continuous motion system does not run empty bags. The sensor on the integrated slip torque accumulator monitors incoming product and automatically adjusts the wrapper speed based on the amount of product entering the system. If product is not available, the wrapper will ramp down to a stop until more products arrives.

Compression Belt to Belt No Slip-Torque
Product arrives from the customer's low back pressure conveyor and accumulates up to the Compression Belt-to-Belt indexing conveyor. The compression belt controls back pressure and creates the proper gap prior to entering into the film web. Once in the film web the product travels through the cross seal where the bag is formed continuing through the shrink tunnel where the tightly wrapped products exit.
This on demand continuous motion system does not run empty bags. The speed modulation sensor placed onto the customer's accumulator conveyor monitors incoming product and automatically adjusts the wrapper speed based on the amount of product approaching the system. The faster the products arrive the faster the wrapper runs. If product is not available, the wrapper will ramp down to a stop until more products arrives.
Belt to Belt Infeed
Easily integrates into existing conveyor lines for seamless operation. This infeed automatically creates product separation and indexes product directly into the wrapper, making the wrapper an on demand system which creates no empty bags.
